2008 Cabela's NWT State Championship

- This is an OPEN TOURNAMENT.
- Starting positions for the Cabela's NWT State Championship will be NWT Points Qualified Teams first (in points qualified order, 3 out of 4 tournaments). All other entries will be in the order received after the Points Qualified Teams.
- Teams fishing the NWT will only be allowed 1 sub, 1 person, 1 time per team (including State Championship to be eligible for championship starting positions and any additional NWT championship prizes). Subs must be reported PRIOR to the tournament to that tournament director. (No results will be accepted by those that have been empowered to keep track of the point's standings that do not have first and last names recorded legibly by the tournament directors.)
- All live and healthy fish will be released.
- All unresolved discrepancies for Cabela's NWT State Championship must be forwarded to the NWT Tournament Directors.
- Substitution for the Cabela's NWT State Championship must be cleared by the NWT Board of Directors prior to the State Championship Tournament or you will be ineligable for any additional NWT prizes.
By signing an entry form for any and all of the NWT fishing tournaments, you waive and release:
a) the promoters, tournament directors, tournament committee members, sponsors and organizations assisting in the tournament operation, their agencies, agents, etc. from all claims for death, injuries, damages, liability, theft and fire, or any loss in connection with the NWT tournament series;
b) the rights for the organizations to publish your name and/or pictures in any advertisement in promoting the tournaments (newspapers, web pages, etc).
Qualifying Requirements:
The NWT has 4 qualifying tournaments (counting only three) to be structured in the following ways:
- TEAMS: are made up of 2 person teams who will be fishing the majority of the NWT tournaments together. These two will be considered the Primary Team.
- SUBSTITUTIONS in Qualifying Tournaments: Teams fishing for season points will be allowed ONLY 1 (ONE) Substitution. One-person per team per season in qualifying tournaments.
- FORMAT: there will be 4 NWT qualifying tournaments. A team must fish in at least 3 qualifying tournaments to be eligible for the series Team of the Year Award. * Each primary team’s best 3 out of 4 finishes in the qualifying tournaments will be used in calculating season point total.
- POINTS: are accumulated at each qualifying tournament with:
- 200 points for 1st
- 195 points for 2nd
- 192 points for 3rd
- 190 points for 4th
- 188 points for 5th
- 186 points for 6th
- 184 points for 7th
- 182 points for 8th
- 180 points for 9th
- 178 points for 10th
- 176 points for 11th
- 175 points for 12th
- 174 points for 13th
* less 1 point for each place following for teams who catch fish, down to 100 points.
* Twenty-five points will be awarded to teams with no fish caught.
- TOP TEAM AWARD: this award is for the season points champion based on their best 3 out of 4 finishes in the NWT qualifying tournament. Team of the Year award requirements must be met to be eligible for the Team of the Year Award.
- POINT TIES: will be determined by total weight in the team’s 3 qualifying tournaments.
NOTE: All unresolved discrepancies for the NWT Points & State Championship will be forwarded to the NWT Tournament Directors.
The purpose of the Points Award is to recognize the TEAM of the Year.
Locators of the Year Award

- SUBSTITUTIONS in Qualifying Tournaments: Teams fishing for locators of the year will be allowed ONLY 1 (ONE) Substitution. One-person per team per season in qualifying tournaments.
- FORMAT: there will be 4 NWT qualifying tournaments. A team must fish in at least 3 qualifying tournaments to be eligible for the series Locator of the Year Award. * Each primary team’s combined weight out of all 4 finishes in the qualifying tournaments will be used in calculating Locators of the Year.
- WEIGHTS: are accumulated at each of the qualifying tournaments. A team may use weights from all 4 tournaments.
- LOCATORS OF THE YEAR AWARD: this award is for total combined weight. Locators of the Year is based on total combined weight of all of the NWT qualifying tournaments. (a team only has to fish 3 of the 4 qualifying tournaments to be eligible, however if a team fishes all 4 tournaments all 4 weights will be used.) Locators of the Year award requirements must be met to be eligible for the Locators of the Year Award.
- TOTAL WEIGHT TIES: will be determined by total POINTS in the team’s 3 qualifying tournaments.
NOTE: All unresolved discrepancies for the NWT Points & State Championship will be forwarded to the NWT Tournament Directors.

Chargers of the Year Award

- SUBSTITUTIONS in Qualifying Tournaments: Teams fishing for chargers of the year will be allowed ONLY 1 (ONE) Substitution. One-person per team per season in qualifying tournaments.
- FORMAT: there will be 4 NWT qualifying tournaments. A team must fish in at least 3 qualifying tournaments to be eligible for the series Charger of the Year Award. * Each primary team’s total points out of all 4 finishes in the qualifying tournaments will be used in calculating Chargers of the Year.
- POINTS: are accumulated at each of the qualifying tournaments. A team may use points from all 4 tournaments.
CHARGERS OF THE YEAR AWARD: this award is for total combined points. Chargers of the Year is based on total combined points of all of the NWT qualifying tournaments. (a team only has to fish 3 of the 4 qualifying tournaments to be eligible, however if a team fishes all 4 tournaments all 4 points will be used.) Chargers of the Year award requirements must be met to be eligible for the Chargers of the Year Award.
TOTAL POINTS TIES: will be determined by total Weight in the team’s 3 qualifying tournaments.
